An excellent variety for the home gardener as it is slow to bolt and strong against downy mildew. It is also a great source of vitamin C and fibre.

The full flavoured peppery leaves are delicious mixed into salads. Enjoy the tasty crisp leaves in few weeks. 

When to Plant: All Year Round

Sow: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter

Harvest: 4-5 weeks

Soil Type: Fertile

How to Grow: 

Sow thinly 5mm (1/4in) deep in rows 30cm (12in) apart. Cover with a fine layer of soil and firm gently. Keep soil moist. Seedlings should begin to appear in 6-10 days.

Thin out seedlings to 30cm (12in) apart. Keep ground moist and weed free.

Feed with a liquid fertiliser regularly.

IMPORTANT:
These seeds are treated with a fungicide (Thiram or Apron XL), do not eat the seeds or feed them to animals. Fungicide treatment is an AQIS requirement for certain varieties of seeds. It does not affect your crops or harm insects such as bees.
