ROYAL HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY Seeds – Watermelon Mini Yellow F1
This is a highly productive variety producing oblong 4-5kg fruits with sweet yellow flesh and light green rind with dark green stripes.
The plants are resistant to Fusarium and very compact in size. Ideal for smaller gardens and large tubs.
When to Plant: Spring and Summer (later in warm areas)
Sow: Spring, Summer
Harvest: 12-14 weeks
Soil Type: Fertile, Sunny Position
How to Grow:
Sow seeds 12mm (½in) deep and 50cm (20in) apart. Firm down gently and keep ground moist. Seedlings should begin to emerge in 6-10 days.
When young plants have 5-6 leaves pinch out growing tips to encourage growth of flowering shoots. Keep well-watered and mulched.
